At Rollx Vans, we aren’t just a company that has a fleet of handicapped vans for sale. We are a group of people who love to engage within our local community here in Minnesota, as well as communities around the globe.
One of the great things about the wheelchair and disability communities (as well as their friends and family) is that they are always willing to come together to fight for a worthy cause.
Join us this Saturday!
This coming Saturday, May 14th we will be participating in the national MDA Muscle Walk. Over 60 members of our team will be walking at Rosland Park in Edina starting at 9:00am, and we would love for you and your family to come out and join us in supporting this cause.
About the MDA Muscle Walk
The MDA Muscle Walk is a great event that raises money for muscular dystrophy research and awareness. To date, the walk has raised over $166,778.35, which has gone to help fund urgently-needed research, treatments and support for those who suffer from muscular dystrophy.
This year, their goal is to reach $294,000.00!
You can participate in the walk as a solo participant or as a team. Registration opens at 9:00 and the walk begins at 11:00am. You can also register early on the event’s website. The walk ranges from 3,000-5,000 meters, and will happen rain or shine. The course is both wheelchair and stroller-friendly, so families and people of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
Registration for the event is free, but participants are encouraged to fundraise, and each walker who raises $100 or more will even get an event t-shirt on the day of the walk.
Donating for a Good Cause
Even if you can’t make it out to the walk, you can still donate money to the cause. Every bit helps, and the money goes towards finding treatments and a cure to a disease that affects 1 in every 3,500-6,000 people every year.
There are 30 known types of muscular dystrophy, and finding a cure for just one of them would change the lives of families across the world. So, come on out and join us as we walk for the cause!
