When a wheelchair is used as a primary means for getting around, it’s important to find a device that can keep up with its user. Additionally, it’s important for that wheelchair to be capable of all activities the user enjoys, so it doesn’t slow them down.
This is especially true when choosing a wheelchair for a child.
Mybility is looking to bring an option to children as young as six years old and onwards.
Wheelchair Innovation
The Mybility wheelchairs for kids come in two different versions: stand up and non stand up.
Both options are built to handle all terrains (such as grass, sand, slopes, mud, and snow), and they’re kind to carpets and other floors at home, too. Better yet, the wheelchairs are designed to grow with children, and have a lifespan of approximately 10 years.
Stand Support System
The stand support system is a Mybility wheelchair that allows users to lie down flat, stand up, or choose any angle in between for their wheelchair seating position. And, it can do all of that, while being an all-terrain wheelchair.
This flexibility allows users to be able to participate in a wide range of activities, all from the comfort of their wheelchair. So, users can participate in adaptive sports that don’t require special equipment, visit an adaptive playground, and even spend time outdoors with their friends and family members without slowing down.
Additionally, the wheelchair includes a riser, so people of all ages can reach things on shelves or that would normally be out of reach without the assistance of a caregiver. Essentially, this system allows the user to become more independent than ever before.
